Evergreens from Washington begin arriving the weekend following Thanksgiving. These traditional, fragrant greens are made into wreaths, garlands and door swags and can also be purchased by the box or sleeved bunch for holiday centerpieces. 

     Evergreen choices include mixed, Cone Cedar, Incense Cedar, Port Orford Cedar, Douglas Fir, Noble Fir, Silver Fir and Princess Pine.

     Wreaths sizes range from 16 inches to 34 inches with larger sizes available as special order. Wreaths can be ordered as plain, which means they are made from one kind greens, or decorated, which means they are made from a combination of Blue Berried Juniper and yellow budded Incense Cedar with Ponderosa Pinecones.

     5 Tips for designing with evergreens

1.  Create a simple centerpiece by using  the smallest wreath (11-inch mini wreath) as a candle ring holder.

2.  Two mini wreaths tied with holiday ribbon and hung vertically are perfect for small spaces or spaces that need a strong vertical element.

3.  For an old-fashioned accent, add red and green apples (attached with picks and floral wire) to a plain evergreen wreath.

4.  To update an articial garland, add pieces of fresh evergreen branches and small pinecones.
